Sigh... So in case no one had noticed, I don't usually know what day it is. Despite the fact that I'm usually very aware of the time, and deadlines, and so forth, unless something important is going on, I usually don't remember the date anymore. So I'm going to toss in the last 3 songs of the soundtrack CD here because I keep forgetting when it's the 11th, or 1st, or 21st, or 31st. The rest, I'll admit, aren't that good anyways (by comparison at least). All in all, I hope you enjoyed the CD. Some gems on there for sure. lol
Sheesh, the last two days kinda snuck up on me, smacked me upside the head, and took off before I had a chance to turn around and look at them.
On that note, I now have two more soundtrack songs for you all. Two of the 'best' from the CD, dare I say.
First up.... probably one of the top ten wedding songs of the 80s. lol
And next, one of the top ten wedding songs of the 80s.... jk.. but probably the one that brought the launch of leg warmers as something 'cool'. I'm kinda glad I was too young in the 80s to know any better, and can blame my mother for an fashion mishaps (or poofy hair mishaps).
And I gotta say, what is UP with all these old trends coming back. I mean, I've seen people wearing leg warmers again, not to mention all the childhood toys on the rebound. I swear, this decade will go down as one of the most unoriginal in modern history.

SIKE!
The holiday weekend messed w/ my schedule and I didn't get a chance to post this before I left for the weekend. My bad.
Bringing us back to Friday (the 21st), I give you something else that will certainly bring you back. And something that will certainly be stuck in your head the rest of the day/evening/night. You're welcome. :P
And a song. Short and sweet today. Busy with some stuff. School-related. Go figure, with this song due next. Classic. One of the better ones on the CD. Deserves a better post than this. Sorry!
Did everyone enjoy their 'Leap Day' yesterday? I did. Except the part where I went to bed before 9:30pm because I was tired and bored and figured I might as well since there's nothing else to do. Yeah.
We watched 3:10 To Yuma though. Really good movie I thought. I recommend it, even if you don't like "westerns".
Anyways, being the first, I owe a song. So here's the next one on the soundtracks. sooooooo 80s...
I completely didn't even realize that yesterday was the 21st (which, if you've been following along, means that I owe you a song). I almost forgot it was Thursday even, but thankfully I remembered in time to watch Lost!! I've been working good hours lately, which also means it's an adjustment period to suddenly not having as much free time. Well, it's like a permanent adjustment with this job one way or the other.. but still.
Anyways, here are a couple of songs to make up for it. Both are pretty good, and were amusing to hear.
First is one of my favourite '70s funk' type of songs.
Seriously, it's just a ' fun' song... heh Except now I envision stupid scenes from SharkTale, which is a crappy movie, so that kinda ruins it for me.
So, let's move to the next.
Classic. Reminds me of a public school talent show or something, and some kids sang it. I've only seen this movie once, and it was decent I guess. I didn't see it in it's prime time (aka, pre-1995), so it bordered on amusing lameness for being outdated. At least Tom Cruise wasn't a freak at the time. I don't associate the song with the movie though.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
Sorry for the lateness.

Today's the 1st! Another 1 day! So here's another soundtrack tune, this time the lovely Diana Ross.
Again, it was one of those songs that was familiar and yet not at the same time. Anyone actually SEEN any of the movies that these are coming from? lol I promise you, there are some golden ones coming up by the time I'm done.
I almost forgot that today was the 31st! HAH
So here's another tune from soundtrack heaven.
Can't say I was really familiar with this one... lol Ahhh 80s. It's catchy tune though. :) More tomorrow!
Don't forget that Lost is on today!! *squee*!
Well, today is the 21st, meaning it ends with a 1, meaning, as promised here's another track from the #1 Soundtrack hits.
I would've posted it earlier, but I was too busy.. uh.. working.
Click here for the rest so far.
This song is definitely one of my favourites from the CD. I think perhaps because really, it describes what I feel every day, and it makes me realize I'm not alone in trying to make myself NOT go crazy.
Good old Dolly Parton. I haven't seen this movie yet, but it might have to go on my 'list'.

It's enough to drive you crazy if you let it.
Since today is the 11th, that means it ends with a 1, which means as I promised, here's another tune from the #1 soundtrack hits that I purchased just after Christmas. Actually, I'm going to stretch and post two this time, mostly because they're both not that good, and one I hadn't really heard of anyways, so I'm counteracting that with a good one.
The first is from DreamGirls, however, this is the original version featuring Jennifer Holiday, not the other one featuring what'sherface. I don't really like this song, maybe because I'm immature enough that her emotions and 'angry' yelling rather than singing in some parts sounds lame and makes me laugh, rather than be like 'you go girl'...
The second one today also makes me laugh, mostly because, as my b/f put it, it's basically heard in every Hallmark made-for-tv movie ever. Classic. Originally from An Officer and A Gentleman, it's made appearances in a number of other things, like South Park, Scrubs and Family Guy, believe it or not. lol
Sometimes I wish I had friends and family that understood my weirdness rather than questioned it... because really, I think it'd just be hilarious to play crap like this at my wedding, but they'd all think it's weird and idiotic. I'm sure I'd think it'd idiotic too, especially looking back in a few years wishing I'd picked something classier, but then again, I also think the people that danced to "Baby Got Back" as their first dance are my wedding-heroes.
Alas, maturity may catch up with me on my wedding day, whenever that is, and 'classy' will no doubt prevail.
