Dear Voxers
There is much negative energy flowing in Voxland due to their recent release, and rightly so... I too have my opinions on it (none of which are good), and wish they'd give us the option to switch back. Change is sometimes good, but FORCED change will never go over well.
Regardless... I do hope that no one decides to leave vox just because of a redesign that they may dislike. I liked the world of vox for it's ease of use, the maturity of the users, and the fact that people mostly just complained about their lives, not about their blogging software. This is smelling too much like the LJ CRISIS OF '06™ which pushed me to find Vox in the first place. In my initial 'WTF' *anger* reaction, a fleeting thought of 'I protest, and leave!' fluttered through my head, but I won't. It's no where near perfect, but nothing ever is.
Now, I cross post every single one of my posts to my LJ (which thankfully I can do) because there are still many people that I want to remain in contact with who don't wish to make the switch to vox (and justly so, they can blog where they choose). That said, you, dear voxer, can blog wherever you choose as well, but do try to remember why you choose to blog with Vox in the first place. For me it's the people. That's why I haven't really 'left' LJ, though I only do my original updates from vox. The people. I won't leave vox, unless they really do something as a company to make me angry. Nor will I completely leave LJ. I came here for the neighbourhood aspect (because I can easily blog through bravenet if I so choose, but it doesn't have 'neighbourhoods' or 'friends' pages).
So I guess it comes down to the fact that I came here for the people... and I'll stay here for the people.
Thanks 'hoodies. I don't show my appreciation enough, nor update enough, nor comment enough, but I do enjoy my romp through your virtual lives every day. :)
So that's why I hope you all stay. Because without the people... vox
(as well as LJ) really has nothing going for it, regardless of how good or bad the
pages or links are laid out.
(and I decided to go ahead and x-post this to my LJ as well, in case any of you livejournal people are curious about how things are on the other side)

Updates are updates and I don't think these are that bad.
I ain't going anywhere...
There wasn't a lot of complaining in my direct neighbourhood about the release really, just a few people, who linked to other people, who linked again, and then I was like 'whoa, it's like there's a whole revolution going on over here'.... haha
Glad to hear you're sticking around.
I've been blogging for a while now (since 2002 I think!), and sometimes my interest fades, but the Vox 'hood usually keeps me inspired. :)
